How Canada is getting ready for marijuana legalization

A little less than two weeks ago, an approximated 100,000 marijuana plants were securely transported from Ontario to a Metro Vancouver facility in order to further cultivation within a network of BC Tweed operated greenhouses in Langley, B.C. As a preferred vendor to Canopy Growth Corp., INKAS® Security Services aided in the transportation between the two facilities.

Easily valued in the tens of millions, this transport mission required maximal security, absolute attention to detail and full operational oversight for all involved parties. INKAS® ensured the successful escort of the entire shipment from Ontario to B.C. meeting all guidelines as prescribed by the client.

The facility in B.C. is anticipated to become the largest cannabis production facility on a global scale. It is managed by BC Tweed Joint Venture Inc., a subsidiary of Canopy Growth Corp. – one of Canada’s largest licensed producers of medical marijuana.
